RH series

If you think of Far-field measurement as light distribution, you should definitely check it out. Unlike the conventional method of measuring the light distribution characteristics by moving the sample after installing the detector far away, the RH series measures the light distribution characteristics of a fixed sample at a short distance. Simulating illuminance at any distance with just one measurement is possible, which greatly saves space and time compared to the conventional method.

> Viewing angle characteristics of liquid crystal displays

When measuring with a light distribution measurement system using a liquid crystal display for the sample, the luminance distribution characteristic obtained is the viewing angle characteristic of the liquid crystal. Since the 2D luminance sensor measures the surface of the liquid crystal display, which is a sample, a large amount of information on the sample surface can be obtained with a single measurement. It can be applied to the measurement of 3D displays for the naked eye.

Automotive headlights control the direction of light with lenses and reflectors, and it is necessary to evaluate the illuminance and pattern at a fixed distance. In the conventional measurement, a detector was installed at a position 25 m away, and the light distribution characteristics were measured by rotating the lamp mounted on the goniometer. With RH series, the brightness distribution characteristics of the lamp are measured at a short distance, and the illuminance at an arbitrary distance is obtained by simulation based on it. The distance to be evaluated in one measurement can be freely changed.

> General lighting

Measurement using a two-dimensional luminance sensor is also an effective method for general lighting. In addition to space savings, samples with different light distribution characteristics depending on distance, such as spotlights, can be measured at a single position. It is based on the luminance light distribution characteristics obtained from the measurement and illuminance characteristics.
